Black Friday 28 Nov 2008
Day 2 of this experiment
Tragic days, with terror strikes in Mumbai, India. Home of Bollywood (India film industry) and financial hub of the largest democracy in the world. Also, deaths associated with shopping, of all things. Wal-Mart "temporary" worker dies in onslaught of people trying to beat each other to bargains. Pregnant woman injured in melee. People shot & killed at a Best Buy store in California. (have not heard if this was "shopping related")
I've got to take a step back, and a deep breath.
The crisis in India looms large. There have been conflicts between factions in that area since before the English left in 1948. India & Pakistan (along with Bangladesh) were birthed in blood, of their own cause then, and now. One can only surmise that Americans and other Westerners were targeted because the media lights would shine brighter and longer with their deaths. Similar to the Civil Rights struggles in the USA got more coverage when the Northern whites & celebrities became involved. At this point I have not heard of what the forty people said to have been involved wanted or were demanding. If it was coverage, carnage & calamity, they appear to have succeeded.

Thanksgiving Day 27 November, 2008
Hello there, to anyone who stumbles upon or is directed, either via human or spiritual means, to my blog. I'm going to be short & quick on this first posting, learning a little as I go. My hope is that talking about my own struggles with life in general may help someone else. Guess that would be a "mission statement". Surviving and thriving in the 21st century.
